| On Wednesday, 18 February, 2004 my wife, Irina, became a U.S. Citizen.
This is the culmination of a process than began almost 10 years ago, when she and her
parents decided to emigrate from Ukraine. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the San Jose Civic Auditorium in San Jose, Ca. Over 1400 people from 95 countries became citizens at this ceremony. The swearing-in ceremonies are held twice a month. That's a huge number of new citizens. |
